Sunday comes to HONEY TV when 7 colors premieres February 17, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. on DStv 173.
Drawing inspiration from the unique South African trope of ‘colourful Sunday cooking’, celebrity judges Lillian Dube and Moshe Ndiki travel to the heart of South African homes to see families and friends flex their cooking skills to perform the complete plate in the best possible way.
“I love going into people’s homes, interacting with them and seeing what their plates look like,” says Dube. “My favorite part of being on set has to be Moshe. We work really well together. Dube is a seasoned South African actress and one of the most recognizable artists across the country. She has been heralded as one of the last great personalities to have also received the Order of Ikhamanga from the hands of President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2018.
“Being on this show has been absolutely amazing,” says Moshe Ndiki, a comedian who honed his skills on YouTube with creative skits impersonating everyone from Rihanna to your best friend down the street. Ndiki then hosted the popular shows Uyang’thanda Na? and You promised to marry me. His flair and wit are the perfect complement to Dube’s stellar comedic timing. “Not only do I work with Lillian Dube, but I also met the different contestants and all the excitement during filming,” he says.
