Beloved Canadian icon Dan Levy will venture into an animated gig for a new unscripted cooking competition show called The big brunch.
HBO Max has ordered the new cooking show, which Levy just so happened to create. Levy has teamed up with Boardwalk Pictures to bring a new “Great American Culinary Achievement” around the world of brunch.
“Everyone has a friend, family member or co-worker who is amazing at what they do. They just need a boost so their talents can be appreciated on a larger scale,” said said Dan Levy.
“I created this show for them, America’s homegrown culinary heroes who deserve a spotlight. That, and who doesn’t want to see maple syrup slowly pouring onto a golden pile of perfectly baked French toast, Inspired by creme brulee?
The show is currently in the works, and the producers are looking for upcoming culinary talent. Unfortunately for Canadians, participants must be at least 21 years old and legally resident in the United States.
“What we love about this special show is that it serves up more than mouth-watering culinary delights; it’s about the heart, the love for cooking, and spotlighting talent whose unique skills elevate the beloved brunch menu,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content, HBO Max.
“There’s no better dining or creative partner than Dan and the team at Boardwalk Pictures to celebrate these unknown voices, and, well, Brunch, the best meal to indulge in decadent sweet and savory dishes that are fueled by cocktails and caffeine!”
The big brunch should be released in 2022.
