There are more cooking adventures for celebrity Selena Gomez on her cooking show, Selena + Chefofficially returns for a season 4!
HBO Max has shared the news that things will be sizzling in the kitchen again very soon! The first three episodes of Season 4 will air on Thursday, August 18. They will then be followed by another trio on August 25, with the final four episodes due out on September 1.
And with a new season comes some changes! As the series began during the pandemic, Selena learned virtually from some of the top chefs. And even if the world has reopened, the series has kept this format.
This will remain in the upcoming fourth season, except for one special guest – the infamous Gordon Ramsey! If you watched the trailer, you’ll see the talented chef paid a surprise celebrity visit. This is an episode that really excites me!
What to expect in Selena + Chef season 4
Here are the details we know so far. This time around, we’re leaving Selena’s kitchen that we’ve seen for three seasons, and the actress and singer is taking her cooking skills to a new home in Malibu. And eagle-eyed Disney fans will definitely recognize that. According to People, the Coastal Home is where Disney Hannah Montana filmed!
Chefs helping Selena this season are Ramsay, Rachael Ray, Adrienne Cheatham, Devonn Francis, Kristen Kish, Ludo Lefebvre, Matty Matheson, Nick DiGiovanni, Paola Velez and Priya Krishna. Each talented cook will once again highlight a charity of their choice.
Will Selena + Chef be impacted by Warner Bros. Discovery?
HBO Max and its parent company Warner Bros. have been making headlines recently, as big changes have happened or could be coming to the streaming service. The media company merged with Discovery last year, becoming Warner Bros. Discovery. We are now beginning to see the effects of this partnership.
HBO Max reportedly has no plans to make scripted TV shows, Warner Bros. completely shelved the new movie bat girl even though it was almost ready, and HBO Max quietly removed six Warner Bros. streaming-exclusive films.
Now, the fate of many shows and movies remains to be seen, as bat girl Filming had already wrapped, and the company opted to put it on the back burner anyway. So even if a project is finished, it is unfortunately not a guarantee that it will see the light of day.
However, the newly merged company seems to be focusing on unscripted series, so it’s more than likely Selena + Chef is secure. Let’s hope so. According to the trailer, this summer season is going to be fun!
Selena + Chef premieres Thursday, August 18 with the first three episodes on HBO Max.
